Masquerade is a stylish up-tempo musical revue featuring three singer/entertainers and a hilarious two member comedy team. Using the Mask as a common theme, festive party music and dramatic musical theatre songs are combined with elements of Commedia Dell’Arte to create truly entertaining show ideal for any gala evening.
The show begins with the colourful masks and music of Mardi Gras, including “Oh When the Saints”, the Cajun sounds of “Jambalaya” and a tribute to Harry Connick Jr. Next the enchanting music of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom Of The Opera fills the room with a dramatic performance of “Music Of The Night” by the masked Phantom character.
Between vignettes Commedia Dell’Arte, which means Artistic Comedy, captures all the fun of a Venetian Carnival with hilarious skits using wonderful masks and lots of audience participation. The show closes with the hot hot hot sounds of Carnaval Brazil. The spirit of this famous celebration is captured with traditional songs combined with popular Latin music.
Beginning with a Mardi Gras parade a masquerade theme connects the show together into a wonderful evening of entertainment.
